What is a site inspection?
The site inspection allows Neptune to determine how best to complete the installation. Many logistical issues are identified in the inspection including: space, pipe size, type, and quality, valve status, location of transmitter, if a wire run is needed, wire run path and so on.

Does my facility require a site inspection?
Site inspections are required for all ICI customers with a 3-inch service or greater. For customers with a 3-inch line or greater, no installation can occur before a site inspection is completed.

Who needs to be present during the site inspection?
The site inspection requires someone with working knowledge of the building’s water system be present at the time of inspection.

How do I prepare for my site inspection?
Ensure that all valves and the water meter are accessible. The area should be cleared of any debris or obstructions in order to provide easy access to and around the water meter. Remove any and all insulation around the valves, on the pipes between the valves and on the water meter. If there is a suspected presence of asbestos, the insulation must be tested and removed by the owner in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
